Merry Chrismahanukwanzakah!
Happy Holidays to you & yours!
Christmas @ The Smolinski residence was different this year. My brother recently moved into his own apartment with his girlfriend. So he wasn’t here for the whole shabang. Also, our house is the only house in the neighborhood that is decorated/lit up outside. We even cut back on the amount of decorations & lights. The real kicker is.. we have a fake tree this year. Bummer! This whole economic crisis really put a damper on the present opening too. Though we put our own damper on it by opening/plugging in the new HDTV & computer my parents bought way back on Black Friday. I’m definitely not complaining, just sayin’. I’m extremely grateful & happy to have an amazing family, a roof over my head, warmth, good health, etc.
Christmas Eve: My brother & his girlfriend stopped by. They exchanged presents with my parents. And then everyone just sat around drinking & eating for the rest of the evening. I’m pretty confident my brother wasn’t expecting me to get him anything - so he didn’t get me anything. However, I did buy him something. So I guess he felt bad because at one point he walked into the kitchen and handed me $20. His present only set me back $6. So I’d say I walked away victorious.
Today (Christmas): I woke up around Noon — and I went to bed at Midnight. So that was a full 12 hours of sleep! Heck yes! My dad made breakfast for me, my mom, and himself. And then we opened presents. My parents had a considerable amount of presents between the two of them - I had three. So I had to space out my opening process. My mom & dad toyed around with their new electronics for the remainder of the day and I watched movies with my dog.
I’m listening to Christmas tunes while I still can — because when else am I going to listen to them?
Photo time!

Oh fake christmas tree!

My house!

I ate way too much of all of this.

My professional hair straightner… finally something that will straighten my hair! And quickly.

So many nose studs.. I can afford to lose some! Chrisy gave me a three pack the other day as well. Though I have been thinking about putting a ring back in.

My mom handed this to me after presents were opened… I guess she forgot.

Kenneth Cole boots!! I have to take them back though :( My mom got the wrong size. I will surely kill myself with those heels.

Every year my mom buys me something to put on the tree. This is this years.

May May got me these. I fully support anything mint flavored.

My dad got this. I am jealous.

He also got this. I am double jealous.

My mom got this. I will borrow it.
xo,
Jillie
