The Rise And Fall Of John Stamos - A Song For Jillie Lush
“Just the other day I was facebook livin’, and I got tired of all those fake women. I want the woman who drinks not only beer, but sparks and gin, and vodka, and whiskey. I’m really frisky for the Jillie Lush.”
It’s every girl’s dream to have a song written about them, right? That is mine. An oldie but a goodie courtesy of two of my old co-workers @ 91.3FM WBNY - Kevin & Bill. It’s basically a drunken lovefest all about me. It’s hilarious, awkward, and creepy. And a lot of the lyrics were the epitome of me at that point in my life. This was recorded on the 10th floor of Bill’s apartment on a drunken night in February 2006 - before Anthony and I joined the band. My name in the band was “Gloris Lushkowski” and I raised the roof, sang, gangsta rapped, and fell over. I’m still upset that everything I recorded mysteriously disappeared. I remember recording a sweet reply to the above song. And a song about prohabition. It could have been a hit! Did I mention I can barely play piano? And am not a great singer? TRAFOJS has since disbanded — or I was kicked out of the band? I miss those winter nights. I miss college. I miss college radio.
On a related note: I’ve always wanted to be a muse to a cute boy with an acoustic guitar. One day, one day. I certainly provide enough material on my adventures.
